Liz, it is - a flying stick! Easy to spot on the white sheet (as this one was found) but disappears when at rest in the undergrowth.

Likewise Rob, only abroad until I took one in 2023. My most wanted to see moth at the time and always a thrill to see one.

Yes it was quite a display. Just a shame I missed it with the camera, before the cloud rolled in.

😆 Another species with a western bias although no reason why you shouldn't catch one in Hants. I had 4 in VC22 Berks.
