On NPR, Beshear addresses his party’s collapse in rural areas. As recently as 2008, D’s had senators from Iowa, Montana, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Dakota, Alaska, West Virginia.
If D’s had a few of those seats now, everything would be different. 2/3
