Not clear to me why Trump would fire Noem. She was doing exactly what he asked her to do.
The issue here is bad leadership at the top. Replacing Noem with another yes-man/woman solves nothing.

I don’t often agree with the far left, but Abolish ICE kinda is the correct move. There’s no reforming this agency. It needs to be scrapped and rebuilt. Their mandate right now isn’t to enforce immigration law. Their organizational mandate is domestic terrorism.

FYI: Dems in the senate can't defund ICE. ICE is funded by the Big Ugly Bill. Shutting down DHS on this vote wouldn't touch ICE, but it would shut down FEMA, TSA, Coast Guard, etc. Shutting down ICE requires taking back Congress in the midterms. Dismantling DHS requires the White House in 2028.

I love being on Bluesky instead of Twitter on MLK day, Juneteenth, Pride month, etc. I’d forgotten how toxic that Nazi hellhole was on “woke” holidays.

Finally watching Weeds. I’m enjoying the strong performances from MLP, Perkins and Kirk, but I hate the writing so very much. I don’t like Jenji Kohan’s shows. Too much cheap humor and not enough engaging story telling. The dialogue never feels authentic. it’s snarky but lacks sincerity.
