Nottingham Goose Fair is around as old as the Robin Hood myth
In the myth, Robin Hood does go to a fair
THEREFORE
All modernised retellings of Robin Hood should have him going on the waltzers with a carton of chips & mushy peas, getting Marian to scream so a 17yo boy will spin them faster

Episode 4 this week. And no ... we won't stop banging on about it. Here's a little preview clip brilliantly pulled together by @mattleys.bsky.social and hot off the digital "press"

This week, Dennis and Lee go INTERNATIONAL.
Eps 1, 2 & 3 await you on BBC Sounds. If I can still say BBC.

They’re running Under Milk Wood as originally broadcast, for the first time, this weekend on R4 Extra. Obviously, it’s brilliant. And I highly recommend a listen. It still sounds amazing; truly timeless. The most dated bit is the credits - but, oh, those character names.

There's a full half an hour of this beautiful nonsense on BBC Radio Wales at 6.30, this evening.

Eps 1 & 2 already earning their keep on BBC Sounds.

"all well and good for them as likes laughing"

Producer confession: sometimes, when you hear a show go out you think “yes, that was fine… but we could have added something”.

Tonight’s broadcast of The Abergele Files made me smile and be proud and happy to hear it again.
