Why, is he always looking down in the mouth???

Which would be the beauty of a council maintenance team taking apprentices. When they finish, they would be much more attractive to businesses. I honestly cannot see a downside to council involvement, except to people who have councils and think rich businesses should be made richer at our expense

Then that scheme should be widened to include this new proposal. Train someone to be a tradesman, that will be useful to both apprentice and society.

Even if there is an unnecessary rise, which may or may not be so, the money spent on wages for those providing airport assistance is spent locally, and so benefits us all. Perhaps Johnson could explain how much of his VIP Lane cash was spent in UK, so benefiting is, rather than put in a tax haven.

Local councils should be encouraged to do apprenticeships. So, won't be rip-off scheme, tax money spent on local people and local services not corporate benefit, trainees more likely to come out with a good skill. Councils benefit, people benefit, taxpayer benefit. Why not???

They both looked a bit hesitant at the start, then grew. I didn't see the Saturday show, just tonights. I thought Lewis's dance was more spectacular and entertaining. Amber's more clinically clean, though.

Not necessarily. Every Dance-off, the judges always talk about how people improve in the Dance-off. The judges have decided Amber cannot improve because they gave 10s. Lewis can, so hopefully that registers. I really hope Lewis wins through. #strictly

They couldn't do that. It would show that Pat thought Helen had made the wrong decision to cut staff in the dairy in the first place, and Pat could never, ever say Helen was wrong.

That seems like an agreed response. Zia whats-his-name said pretty much the same on LBC when Shelagh Fogerty asked about Farage, Nathan Gill and Russia. They know it's all true, so say whoever is asking is insulting Reform voters.

Unfortunately, I fear it could be Brad in the firing line. Brad has this trait of honesty, so will feel he has to tell George about the Amber / Brad connection. George will not take that well. #theArchers

But he will freeze again when he plays the outdoor Belsonic festival in Belfast next summer!!!

So, the promise to 'give the NHS the funds it needs' turns into 'give US pharma a large amount of cash'. And who benefits? AstraZeneca primarily. Who loses? Sick Brits, as supply of medicines will be constrained. Unless, that is, that UK is going to invest in generics to produce our own locally.

That is very useful. Thank you for that.

Is this Govt saying taxpayer will pay each person up to £120k from public purse if FI goes bust, or Govt saying those people are treated as top of creditors to the rune of 120k each? If first option, doesn't that just help other creditors ( ie banks) more? Must protect the banks, eh!!!

Surely Farage and his motley bunch will be up in arms? Sovereignty, they will shout. This is exactly the sort of interference they argued for Brexit for. In the budget, RR said rules would change to allow UK firms first policy. This will be blown out of the water by this scandal.

I actually think she thrives on the immediacy of it, just like the Instant Dance. Normal routines she seems worried about getting it wrong. In Instant Dance and Dance-off, she just goes for it, and is freer. #strictly

I agree with all of that, 100% #strictly

You are right for participants, but I think Alex will go. She seems to be suffering and so would be ok with going, whereas Balvinder keeps on fighting for her place. Alex out this week, Balvinder out next week.

Jacob Rees-Mogg a cult??? Surprised auto-correct didn't pick that up. #thearchers

In NI, there are very limited centres doing MOT tests (not like England where garages can do them if registered). Test availability is so poor that some ICE cars are now on a test schedule of every 2 years. There is no way NI MOT test centres could cope with an influx of new EVs.

But she already had the big run-in with Chelsea, so I would guess she has already formed an opinion of Tracey without even meeting her.

Very much a 'Peoples Front of Judea' feel to all of this.

She must have forgotten that Matthew, one of the disciples, was a tax collector!!!

The water filled with Koi carp. Someone told him they were big goldfish. The biggest goldfish. And he didn't hear the 'fish' part.
