When our girls were young, my mother would say not to pray for patience—God would give you opportunities to learn to be patient.

This week has a science fair, band and choir concerts, wrestling match, basketball games, football playoffs, and professional development.

Like so many, I’ve felt an almost choking darkness the last few weeks, and it’s terrifying. But then World Kindness Day came round & I remembered Mr. Roger’s quote, “Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” So I’ve been looking.

And he’s still right, it helps.
