Eli and Lani are moving to Salem, so I'm betting we'll see him once a week and Lani twice a month, then she'll get dropped to recurring after 13 weeks, and we'll get Eli sidelined to monthly bc they already don't write for the other cops/agents: JJ, Shawn, Jada, Rafe, Paul, Andrew... #Days

It's so regressive to have Chanel constantly burdened by her choices. She's stressed from owning a bakery, she's never at events because of Trey, she's at the hospital for her new baby, etc. What does she get out of life in Salem now except for misery? #Days

Also, do these writers think we were all shaking our fists that Stefano's story didn't get proper closure under other writers and that we needed the catharsis of a memorial service? I don't think they know what catharsis even means, so probs not. But it is so curious: why this, why now? #Days

If we had to have Stefano's memorial service now, a decade after he was "killed" 🙄, wouldn't it have more dramatic impact if Peter Blake had shown up for this? Or if Chekhov's Glowing Tube occupant had been revealed during this? #Days

Isolating Sophia in Bayview, wide-eyed and monologuing, is the least dramatic choice - she should've started terrorizing Holly months ago. Amy could've gotten her out, she could've even broken out. And if she does break out soon, it should've happened sooner - she's been there for MONTHS. #Days.

Is no one on set watching Peter Porte? Not one person from production stepped in and said, “mate, ya gotta dial it back a bit“. Like the EP just saw that and went back to playing Candy Crush? Is that in his 10 year plan? 🙄

Turns out, even pretty rich people stealing each other’s fortunes can be made boring if you have no talent for soap opera writing. #Days

Dimitri, Leo and Gwen have explained nearly every nuance of their feelings on stories from 2 years ago for 5 weeks now. We get it. Jesus. #Days

Peter Porte certainly made some acting choices today. #Days

I would like the writers to figure out a plan for Kristen and Brady. At this point, I don't care if they end up together or they die in a murder-suicide. I just need them to be able to move past this mode they've been stuck in for the last 5 years. #Days

So that “House of DiMera will not fall” line from the winter preview was just at some dumbass memorial and not like swearing vengeance after losing the company or something partially interesting. Well, that tracks. #Days

At this point, I have to think Days of our Lives is some kind of money-laundering scheme for Sony and/or Peacock.

50 year old journalist Leo Stark has a choice between 2 men: a 30 year old hot EMT or a 40 year old dilettante with bad hair. He's spent the last 4 weeks trying to make a decision, apparently needing to consult AI (?) and Taylor Swift (!).

God, this really is the worst. #Days
January 30, 2026 at 1:56 PM
Today, they used a flashback to Dimitri in jail and I guess Peter Porte's hair was always bad? Or at least was also bad then? #Days

Gwen and Dimitri are fun to watch - hear me out - because their dialogue and acting are so strange. Let's yell or whisper and play to the back of the room, especially since it's the same dialogue every time. Hair? Fried-ass mops. Clothes? Suits and dresses from the worst of the 80s. #Days
January 30, 2026 at 1:29 PM
I dislike the current writing for them, but Xander/Sarah/Brady have some interesting stories to tell with how messy and emotional the three of them are. So strange that they'd slowed them to a trickle in favor of Stephanie/Alex and Gwen/Dimitri/Leo. #Days

Ari having a fake id didn't have to be boring, they could've had a great story with Ari going wild and Holly trying to pull her back bc she's been there done that and creating conflict for the college set. But no, Ari's story was offscreen and we just got the pat parental lecture. How lame. #Days

Dimera Enterprises is a stronger publisher than Titan? The same Titan that just published Stephanie's book with another on the way? The same DE that can't keep a CEO is stronger than Titan? God, this show is why people think soaps are stupid. #Days

Ah - it was the nepo writer's script. That explains the inane bike lane talk at the top of the show, as well as the misogyny in Alex/Stephanie's scenes (particularly the last one). #Days
January 28, 2026 at 2:16 PM
The best dialogue they could give Roman, Kayla and Marlena before Johnny walks in: Kayla wants bicycle lanes. Not something relevant to her story like a shortage of doctors at UH, or maybe Marlena talking about retiring. No, bike lanes for a city we never see. #Days

I wish they'd show us Liam's story onscreen instead of airing him once a month and filling in his story via exposition. #Days

I am so tired of Kristen. The character hasn't really worked in years and her endless dialogue re: Rachel and Brady is just repeating itself. She needs a reset. #Days
January 26, 2026 at 1:36 PM
The #Days promos remind me of the old "next time on Mad Men" clips.

Anyway, I bet despite it looking like forward plot movement might happen, they'll give us the same nothing burgers they've been serving up.

Even Vivian Alamain can't save this wreck. Well, not without James E Reilly anyway.

I'm not loving much on #Days lately, but Julie's scenes lately have been fun to watch - her flouncing around Salem PD and snarking at Jada was great.
January 23, 2026 at 1:21 PM
I appreciate that #Days has pushed more emotions and exploring the characters‘ feelings into their writing, but it’s unfortunate that it is at the expense of plot movement.
