Instagram has always been shitty in terms of actually showing photos. They still limit resolution to 1080 pixels when phones commonly shoot 8000px or more. And then there is the terrible compression to limit file size. For years I've wished we could settle on one of the spaces that do photos well.

I worked as a projectionist at an art house and we ran it for at least two months, maybe more, in our 100 seat (mid size of 3) theater. 8-10 people would walk out in the first 10 minutes, every night. I don't know how many times I saw it, but Helen Mirren and Michael Nyman's music! Oof. The color!

My Dad filmed the football games for my high school, overnighted the 16mm canisters to.. somewhere.. and got them back on Monday for the team. I ended up with that Bolex camera when switched to video several years after I was out of high school. I sold the camera, but I do still have that tripod.

Lots of theater production use real knives, but not with the blades sharpened! You dull the hell out of those things! Good lord. I also, nearly died in a theater. I was electrocuted for around 30 seconds while hanging a light. (student mis-wired a plug, I couldn't let go, breaker didn't trip.)
