Did you know that one in every three sales tax dollars that Salt Lake City receives go to billionaire Ryan Smith? Sales tax is the city's largest revenue stream, and the current council voted unanimously to give him this handout. It's time that the people are prioritized in our budget again.

Last week was a busy one! I learned more and engaged in conversation about human-scale infrastructure, attended the city's Pride flag ceremony, and enjoyed amazing local performances at Busker Fest.

I had the honor of joining hundreds of my neighbors last weekend for Transgender Day of Visibility. Utah unveiled what was perhaps the world's largest transgender flag at over 200 feet long. The LGBTQ community contribute to making Salt Lake City such a great place to live!
