Actually most bicyclists are okay to bike in rain (yes severe rain does pose risk of fall but it is possible to bike in light rain)

No no, Manu - just the opposite. Both plastics and asphalt are effectively the same thing. The binding process that occurs at-temperature is what secures the plastics chemically and physically. There’s no “washing away”. Ironically, plastics act as a plasticizer, making the asphalt MORE pliable.

Totally enraging, Manu - actual field deployments of up to 20% (w/w) plastic in road asphalt has been successfully tested, with exceptionally higher performance than control (just asphalt). Keep the particle size >1mm, then blend.
