But its not as though this is relevatory, is it? The story has been around for quite some time. It feels like this is the tip of some other iceberg. Interesting times ahead of more people follow up on it.

I don't see how he couldn't have simply apologised for anything that he said that was felt by others to be racist, put it down to "reckless youth" and say he clearly doesn't hold those views now, as and adult. Actually, I can see why he doesn't say that.....

That hasn't been tested yet. He has somewhat to go though to shake off the fraudster suspicion, but I hope, at the very least, it means a broader spectrum of views are aired on mainstream news.

But I did not come on here from "the other place" to engage in insults, and I had previously enjoyed the more intellectual arguments put forward on here. But this place has a developed just as similar negative energy as Twitter.... just with wider vocabulary.

People like me? My challenge of your perceived bias isn't an attack on your character (we all have these based on our experiences) unlike your accusing someone of "sacrificing their morality" just for holding a different opinion to you. The coarsening effect does not just come from other people.

Were this an isolated incident, I might agree. But have *you* considered that my response is not based on one or two incidents, but a multitude of responses I have seen from you over a period of time, addressed to different people. Of course, you may see this that "everyone" else has been insulting

As if to prove my point. But it's not just with me that you have this style of response, I noticed it with other people on here, who are far more knowledgeable in their areas than I. They too took a step back rather than engage further with you.
