Rooting for you. If you want and you're self-publishing, I can lend you a run through my Vellum software to auto-format your print and ebook versions.
Although I can understand that the offer might look a bit sketchy from your point of view.

I may be mistaken as to what a clanker is (assuming it’s AI), but AI isn’t vilifying em dashes. That would be the dumbasses who think they can identify AI writing by the use of punctuation.

Got a bunch of them, too. Unfortunately, that says something about my choices in life.
The most recent Superman movie (which made embarrassingly little sense)
Captain America: New World Order (which was just dumb)
The Eternals
Black Widow
Out of Africa (which was almost all ASMR footage)

Me, too. Like fine wine, left in the bottle on the counter for 6 days. With the cork out.

Oh, suicide, for sure, because none of this was done 'to' us. People often forget that he would be a distant memory yelling ineffectually at us from Florida if most of America hadn't duly elected him to do what he's doing.

Yes. Character motivation is clearer. And the stakes are raised higher.

I was blown away by Subodhana Wijeyeratne's Triangulum, which has a strong foundation of south Asian culture. www.amazon.com/Triangulum-S...
No extra points here, but Jane Hartsock's Load Bearing www.amazon.com/Load-Bearing... was particularly mesmerizing.

That's a great one. It knew what it wanted to be from frame one.

War of the Worlds
Excalibur
The Maltese Falcon
The Caine Mutiny
To Kill A Mockingbird
THEM
12 Angry Men
Fail-safe

Okay, enough of hoisting this man up onto a hero's pedestal. He said his cops must intervene. But they aren't allowed (by him) to arrest.
So, what are they supposed to do? Use harsh language?
All he's done is put his cops between a rock and a hard place. That isn't helpful.
