My weekly newsletter is back from a short break with content on managing anxiety in tech, why accessibility boosts ecommerce, and the risks of AI erasing local knowledge. Also, a fun color palette generator, untranslatable words, and celestial physics fun.

The N-Body Simulator lets you explore how multiple objects move under gravity, using real physics equations. It visualizes complex orbital paths, like the famous three-body problem, and offers different methods to simulate long or short-term motion in space.

Okay, this is fun, and brings me back to some neumorphism nostalgia: a fun color palette generator, that lets you play with different color spaces, and build different palettes type

No Pixels of the Week at the moment due to sick leave.
Please enjoy some crochet instead.
I discovered that indeed, I do not know how to count.
But also, it helps relax. So I guess I'm joining the people in tech who crochet club now 💛

Here you go 🥰

I was told to rest. So I learned how to crochet an evee after the fun Pikachu live session a couple of weeks ago with @morganepeng.bsky.social

I officially hate MR4 😅

Monday inspiration: Samsy Ninja is a fun portfolio with a cat that you can control with your keyboard
(warning though: it plays sound and might trigger motion sickness and has flashing content)

Have fun: samsy.ninja/

My curated weekly newsletter is out.
This edition includes articles on animations, screen readers, niche design magazines, bird migration explorer, bad UX date pickers, and accessible navigation. It also touches on my current feelings about the industry.

I also got 80% of some strawberries, and found who got the 20% tax (and they are still blooming?!?). And, I'm not even trying to understand what the nasturtium are doing right now, I think they might be convinced they can reach the sun. Didn't end well for Icarus is all I'm going to say 😅

Meanwhile on the balcony:
- Pineapple sage blooms and is getting out of control in the DIY plant tower (anyone in Luxembourg wants some? It's nice as herbal tea)
- I got a mini cauliflower
- Raspberries who didn't have any fruits in spring got all the fruits now. It's 10°C...
Make it make sense 😅

A couple of other fun things that I tried to cut to test different materials:
- stickers printed on Cricut's transparent paper
- an iron on vinyl for a cute dinosaur
- real leather to make earrings and AirTag holders (this one impressed me a lot)
- Shrink plastic to make a glow in the dark charm
October 26, 2025 at 10:05 AM
Current status: I'm still testing the Cricut Maker 4, so, enjoy some little sticker mat removal ASMR
(I had a small issue in the middle because it's a new mat so it sticks quite well, but the cut is very clean, love it).

Bad UX World Cup is a contest, to make the worst date picker, ever. I love it.
Some of those examples are pure evil, muuhahaa. The memory game, haaa, pure evil I said!

A nice one for my dataviz and birbs friends: Bird Migration Explorer is an interactive map of migration of different types of bird species. You can explore by birds, location and more.

Explore OKLCH in different 3D volumes to understand better how this color space works. You can create and link multiple colors together to understand their relationship in the space.

When teaching accessibility for designers, I usually give the example of the form field error, only shown by red color, to illustrate the "don't convey information only with color".
Some people often go "yeah, it's common sense, none does that anymore...

Wix going all "use text marquee to add scrolling effect to content you want to highlight", how about, no? This is an accessibility nightmare, there's a reason the HTML marquee tag was removed.
Also, scroll animations, again, please no. Or at least, respect prefers-reduced motion.

Today's beautiful procrastination is Messenger, a cute cozy multi players game in the browser where you deliver letters

The Oatmeal's view on AI art is quite interesting. It brings some mediocrity to the world, but also, it can help artists with tasks they find administrative. In the end, it will never have a heart. And that's what makes a difference.

Let’s debunk the old myth that “accessibility limits color choices.” What limits your choices is a lack of knowledge, and / or creativity. I can't do anything about creativity, but, I can help you with accessibility knowledge.

Does your work overlap with your passion?
Working in enterprise UX, I never really know how to answer that. Am I passionate about car dealerships, cranes on construction sites, custom forms, finance and banking? Nope.
But I am passionate about solving complex problems. So, it kind of does?
