Absolutely!
I think this is the future of UGC and what's missing from Minecraft (redstone is too low-level).
Also: beams transmitting data/states and physics with components (look at the creativity generated by Tears of the Kingdom).

There are so many advantages. Most importantly you can generate the circuits and the logic with the dungeon. No additional programming needed. But it also offers opportunities to have the circuitry be present in the levels. Allowing the player to interfere with the dungeon's control systems.
