Absolutely loved this book. Easily my favorite Riftwar entry so far. The way the two protagonist's plots intersect in the first half was so well done. It meandered a little bit in the back half but that was made up for in full by the great cliffhanger ending. Onto the next 😤

Had an old slab of brisket that I needed to use so I tried my hand at from-scratch Ethiopian food for the first time and made Sega Wat (same thing as Doro Wat but beef) and uhhhh yeah, I'm too good at this dude. One of the best things I've made in a LONG time.

Finished Jimmy the Hand, the 3rd book (chronologically) in Riftwar.
Despite it starring a character I love, It was only okay. Kinda messy in terms of pacing past the halfway point, and largely loses focus from Jimmy despite him being the guy on the cover.
Not terrible but... eh.

Wrapped up Magician: Master. I can see why this book was such a big deal back in '82, I loved it so much. Almost every chapter had something that made me go "Man, this should be a movie."
Only gripe was Thomas x Aglaranna being...a choice. Not sure how I felt about that. 😬

I think Bloober Team might be on a redemption run, because I loved this. Super cool setting, crunchy and brutal combat, and some haunting setpieces. Really strong showing for a new survival horror IP. It's not that scary, but it is captivating.
8.5/10.

In the current day, it's hard to recommend starting on Voices. There's still quite a bit about their service that I find questionable.
But after multiple years of grinding, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't proud as hell of this though

After 3 sessions of pure, distilled mental anguish... I did it.
Still mixed on Street Fighter 6 but the fact that I can just hit a button and be playing someone within 10 seconds is carrying the experience for me.

A short, but completely captivating puzzle/horror adventure. The digitized claymation is gorgeous, and the balance between horror and whimsy is pitch perfect.
Gameplay could have been a bit more in depth, but it's short enough that fatigue never sets in.
8.5/10
