If I was tasked to fix Doctor Who I would actually be very radical and reboot the franchise.
Not because it's beyond fixing, but because it's become slightly stale. We're gonna be a 20+ Doctors soon, a brand new canon with changes like Nu-Who again could literally 'regenerate' the whole premise.
