Services have been taken over by thieves who not only refuse to do basic maintenance but constantly increase bills to make more profit.
This in turn destroys the economy, as there is constantly less and less money for everything else, as Water, Power, Rent, Banks... steal it.

Hence Harold MacMillan claiming "you've never had it so good"; he kicked the can down the road, and now comes the Reckoning. If only we'd had a bonanza (like Norway) which allowed for a sovereign wealth fund - and leaders with the appropriate vision 🤔
