No one should be fired without just cause. Racially abusing or sexually harassing a customer (or coworker) is quite often a just cause for termination, because we live in a society and people’s actions affect other people. It’s not as simple as “siding with a corporation against a poor racist”

Maybe they should ask the British and the Germans how to do it for a lot cheaper than the porky contracts to US vendors... ;-)

This is the problem with those who think unions are there to protect you from *everything*. @jamellebouie.net makes a good point that protections of all races (as claimed by the writer of the piece he references) do *not* extend to racial slurs at black customers. Unions should make it clear.
ah yes, all workers should have the right to hurl racial slurs at black customers

Neither do I think any union should even vaguely suggest that members should fuck around with any of that, or do anything that would be unacceptable by any standards, union or otherwise. So, in short, if you want to be a racist cunt, you should expect your union to go "no buddy, you're on your own".

I'm *all* for worker protection and unions ensuring worker protection, but what I will *not* stand for (and neither should any union anywhere) is discrimination/abuse of any protected class (like race, gender expression, etc) by union members. The union should stand by management when this occurs.

That's because airports recognise the value of providing a secure way of authenticating to a guest network because more people then use that free internet :-)

Il semblerait que l'organisation concernée par ce problème doive régler son problème de Wi-Fi.
