New work. ‘Uprising’, watercolour. Resistance, fragile but also insistent, beginning as a whisper before rising into a chorus. A visual murmur of thoughts representing the countless stories that drive people to stand together.

New work. Canaan, watercolour. Land of hope and grief, promise and loss, fragility and persistence, with its earth marked by history. A place longed for, contested, inherited, imagined, with a memory that is carried across generations.

Visited the The Angel of the North, by Antony Gormley, today. For anyone not familiar: It’s a steel sculpture of an angel, 20m high with 54m wings, situated south of Newcastle.
I have wanted to visit the site for a long time but was still taken aback by my emotional response to the sculpture.
