Hopefully everyone taking AIPAC money resigning in disgrace, regardless of party. You know, so we can address the genocide against Palestinians that Israel is committing. It's like taking money from the KKK, and reporting the news, you know? It discredits politicians as well as journalists, David

By all means, keep talking
November 28, 2025 at 9:19 PM
Wrong.
November 28, 2025 at 8:45 PM
The snow in the poppies scene was asbestos. It's so crazy when I see this movie in today's understanding. But, to your point, I think he was referring to politicians in general, back then, so it's quite appropriate
November 28, 2025 at 7:48 PM
It's on them. Every American military member is taught this in basic training, and every year in their routine training
November 28, 2025 at 7:45 PM
That's a really good question, but it's going to be like attempting to change physics almost, because members of the old guard, like me, wouldn't tolerate it. I promise.
November 28, 2025 at 7:33 PM
Also, to your point, we may be headed to an inevitable general strike as the economy collapses, and it will be the morally correct thing to do, regardless of the whether the government orders the citizens to do it through the law, or not
November 28, 2025 at 7:32 PM
It's not about that either. It's about how things are currently structured. Currently, there's no law that says, "You must generally strike under these conditions..." There is such a law about unlawful orders being followed by military members
November 28, 2025 at 7:29 PM
So, there's a document: The UCMJ. If military members don't follow it, they can be court-martialed. It very clearly puts the legal obligation on every member to refuse unlawful orders, and every member is responsible to know what is an unlawful order, and also has free access to legal advice
November 28, 2025 at 7:27 PM
You're arguing morality. I'm arguing legality. Despite the fact that we prefer them to both be one and the same, they are not, nor could they be
November 28, 2025 at 7:24 PM
Wouldn't it be great to get AIPAC out of politics? Maybe you should stop taking their money, too, so you could feel more free to report on the genocide Israel is attempting to exact on Palestinians.
November 28, 2025 at 7:23 PM
You're understood. The person calling people armchair warriors is just negging because their argument is unsound
November 28, 2025 at 7:21 PM
No... no. No no no. No. You're confused. You should sit back a bit and just read
November 28, 2025 at 7:17 PM
Imagine how quiet the news would be if we did this to Trump.

Imagine the peace of mind...
November 28, 2025 at 7:16 PM
I mean... I'm an active duty veteran that served 6 years active, and did another year as an active reservist before I decided I had enough. It took some growing to get to that point, because I didn't know better when I was 20
November 28, 2025 at 7:15 PM
Also, a court martial is just going before a judge and pleading your case. They get a defense, and they get a lawyer paid to help them determine the right decisions. It's literally free legal services for the military members
November 28, 2025 at 7:13 PM
I don't have a legal duty to strike. The military has a clearly defined, legal duty to defy unlawful orders
November 28, 2025 at 7:11 PM
Yes. And it's sad they're in that position at all
November 28, 2025 at 7:10 PM
We also only have a few words in these posts lol
November 28, 2025 at 7:09 PM
That's apples and oranges
November 28, 2025 at 7:05 PM
I would say, that's also correct to some degree. We have our front door guarded really well, so Pootin sent people through the floorboards and compromised our White House without having to break through the front door
November 28, 2025 at 7:04 PM
It's not as black and white. It's like the concept of police. Police are necessary, but abusive police are antithetic to the peace they're supposed to maintain. The Afghanistan papers are something to consider
November 28, 2025 at 7:03 PM
So, it's unlawful, but Trump is hoping his lackeys on the SCROTUS will make it legal, the way they made it legal to deport U.S. citizens, recently
November 28, 2025 at 7:01 PM
Ohhh right... they blocked me so I can't catch up on the conversation. I just hoped you didn't misunderstand my comments
