Minneapolis built more housing than any other major Midwest city & it’s not a mystery why.
They allowed modest density housing types city-wide, cut regressive parking mandates, and made it easier to build apartments near transit.
The results: more homes + slowed rent growth.

One of the weird things about my algorithm lately is it’s showing me a lot of June Lockhart content? I mean I like Turner Classic Movies maybe more than the next lady but no particular allegiance to this actress and it’s *highly* random.

A common excuse we hear for SDOT's refusal to install bus lanes on Denny is that WSDOT could be opposing them. However, @juliareedwa.bsky.social checked, and WSDOT is “unconcerned” about potential impacts to I-5 traffic. The state’s ready to talk bus lanes on Denny, lets get them built!

Cut devil horns out of the Times to paste on A-Rod’s pic for his first post M’s game. Loved Ichiro. Saw the Kingdome fall and T-Mobile rise. I am #Mariners. #LFG!!!

Two major bike connections to Georgetown are opening at the same time, so SDOT is hosting one party for both of them 12–2 p.m. Sunday (September 28) at Mini Mart City Park. Two community bike rides will converge at the celebration. Cascade is hosting a ride from the International District that leaves Hing Hay Park at 11:45 a.m. Seattle Neighborhood Greenways is hosting a ride that leaves South Park Plaza at 10:30 a.m.
