I'd claim it was Newt Gingrich, and before him Rush Limbaugh got the ball rolling. This debacle has been decades in the making.

The only thing privatizing TVA would do is add a for profit layer that would want to earn profits. Meaning costs would go up. There would also likely be pressure to cut costs which could lead to reductions in reliability and efficiency.

Private wealth is built on public infrastructure and investment. Taxes are the way we collectively recoup our investment. Investing those taxes in ourselves, infrastructure and R&D is how we keep the economy growing, and stay healthy as a society.

We need to stop creditingt Trump. He's increasingly senile and detached from reality. It's Stephen Miller and those around him who are running the show. Point the finger where it belongs, don't let them hide.

If you are a card carrying member of MAGA in good standing then nothing is illegal or criminal as far as they are concerned. So in that sense, he's telling the truth.
