Curiously, Yoongi pushed away from the computer and tilted his head to listen to Yeonjun. “Like, my friend’s sister has a ghost in her apartment, and Yoongi totally came through with a charm to make it go away. He can absolutely help you with your girlfriend.” “Are you sure? I don’t want it to be too much effort,” an unfamiliar voice said. “Oh, I think he likes problem solving this way, actually,” Yeonjun said. Which, he was correct, but Yoongi didn’t want everyone and their mom knowing that. Word would get out and even more people would come to him with their problems and not give him any time to actually enjoy the research part. “What’s the issue?” Yoongi asked as he stepped out of the back room. Yeonjun was at the front, looking through a display of protection charms he’d moved to the front table to organize. In front of him was a person significantly shorter than Yeonjun with long light purple hair that Yoongi somewhat recognized. He must have seen her in passing in town, maybe. Yeonjun spun on his heel, waving one hand in front of him at Yoongi in a grand gesture. “Ta-da, I told you he’d help! And without an appointment!” “As if anyone makes appointments at Spellbound,” Yoongi said, scoffing as he did so. “And I haven’t agreed to anything just yet,” Yoongi said specifically to Yeonjun, who made a disbelieving face at him in reply. Yoongi opted to ignore him and his face and turn to the potential customer. “Hi,” Yoongi said. “I heard there’s an issue with your girlfriend? Is she alright?” “Oh, yes,” she said. “She’s okay, really. But there’s this strange ward around my apartment, I rent, and she can’t actually enter by building even though I pay for it fair and square? I got home and powered through some writing. 1400 words today over a couple of sprints and then realizing I was 200 words shy of 5K for the week. Magic is almost 35K. By the time I finish the current Taegi bit it'll likely be 36K. I'm starting to doubt that this will be under 100K.

If there was a way for these damn family dinners to end forever, Porchay hadn't been able to figure it out in the six month's he'd been trapped living in the compound. Being forced to have weekly dinners with the entire Theerapanyakul family was, somehow, the worst part about living here. He was already muttering prayers to whomever was watching over the bullshit that happened in the compound as he approached the compound. Korn had set these damn dinners up as a bonding activity for his sons and his, now fatherless, nephews. Why Porchay had to come to the stupid things he hadn't been able to figure out. 'Because Korn said so' was such a stupid as fuck reason, but his brother had looked a little desperate when he passed on that news, so Porchay hadn't complained too much. Then. He'd certainly done his share of complaining about it since the first one. He knew it was too much to wish for tonight to be normal, but he did anyway. It would be nice if Kinn and Vegas didn't try to kill each other. Porchay could do without witnessing another Tankhun and Vegas fight over Peter, who always just looked between them far too amused as he stayed next to Vegas. Please let no one call their dick a gun again, what the fuck, Kinn? Porchay didn't need to hear that ever. He also didn't need to see the grin on Porsche's face as the two of them stared at each other. Uuugh, gross. Please let Korn choke on a breadstick and no one gives him CPR. He wasn't asking for a lot. It was just the bare minimum he needed to have a decent night.

🥺🥺 I refuse to accept Big's death. I intentionally mention him being alive in all my KimChay fics lol. Also, Kim's manager is nb, has blue hair, and is named Skylar. Literally, every fic these two things are either mentioned or strongly hinted at, and if I missed one, it's Starshine Canon anyway lol
"Three days, Kim! I texted, I called! I asked Big! I almost sent Arm to look in on you because we both know I can't trust Big when you're avoiding everyone like it's your job!" It's true. Big usually had his back when Kim was out of sorts. He'd seen Kim through a lot of tough days. Big had seen him broken and bruised. He was sometimes the cause of it on Kim's worse days where Kim couldn't pick enough fights to sooth the rage inside. The five day fighting bender he'd been on right after the shoot out at the compound had left even Big concerned over him.

He listened with one ear as Namjoon asked Soobin a few questions and offered him more advice than the young man could likely retain. As they talked, Yoongi reorganized the back shelf and cleaned off the excess items. It was still early in the day, but Yoongi was pleased with how productive it had been already. Yoongi flipped his phone over when it buzzed to see a text message from Jimin. Jimin: I saw a cat wearing a tiny sweater that said ‘Familiar in Training.’ Should I adopt it? Yoongi: You’re allergic to cats Jimin: That doesn’t answer my question, actually. We deserve familiars Yoongi! Yoongi: I’m allergic to cats and will never be able to come over again It was an exaggeration, but the defeated gif Jimin sent back let him rest easier knowing his friend wasn’t going to adopt a cat that would have Jimin sneezing and scratching at his skin all the time.

It was a new one that Yoongi hadn't vetted yet, but the publisher was reputable for their magical guides. "Oh?" Yoongi forced humor back into his voice to match Namjoon's levity. Now was not the time to dwell on things things he wanted but couldn't have. "Honestly, I came in because my gym bag is cursed. My socks keep disappearing." Affection burst through Yoongi as he tried to shop his shoulders from shaking with his quiet laughter. He loved his ridiculous friends so much. They might literally be cursed to be stuck with each other, but they were a gift he never wanted to return. "Are you sure you aren't just leaving them at the gym, and if you ask they'll have a lost and found full of your smelly socks?" "No, Yoongi," Namjoon said, stressing the syllabus in his name and dragging out the last letter. "This is way too frequent to be anything other than targeted." "Someone has targeted your gym bag to steal your socks?" "Yes, and it's really frustrating." "Right," Yoongi drawled out. "Do you want a charm for your bag? A full counter curse? What are you looking for that you wouldn't be able to produce yourself?" "I was hoping a protection charm would work, actually," Namjoon said as he put two books down on the front desk. "I could just leave it in the bag and it would be fine."
