I went through what the hospital billed insurance for the 1st part of my FFS. It was over $100K. It's gross that we don't have universal healthcare and doubly gross that trans women often don't have access to employment and if they do their insurance is trash and/or won't cover gender care

ffs in general has positively affected my mood but the brow raise specifically has given me a more sunny disposition now that my brows are now permanently in the same position they would have been for a happy/excited facial expression prior to surgery

the left is me just over 5 years ago on the day I started HRT. the right is me yesterday after 5 years of HRT and a week after FFS (forehead/brow reductions, rhinoplasty, fat graft into top lip). My chin and jaw haven't had any work yet but you can see how much HRT has softened those features 🧵

It's been a full week since my FFS. Bruises are fading, swelling is gonna be what it's gonna be. And yeah, I've got this ghastly incision but it's not so bad now that the staples are out. Overall I'm fucking ecstatic
