final critique went so well!! prof for this class told me that my tulip print is like Me on a Page, that my style is so distinctive and not to fight it bc it’s so recognizable which is the best thing I could possibly hear tbh

this is where I’m at for my final assignment. It’s painted in watercolor dye and I will be doing a background in gouache. My original plan was to do it in charcoal but now I’m thinking a really dark royal blue might look great!

very excited about how my final piece for my decorative fabrics class turned out- this is a Sonia Delauney inspired tissue paper/vellum/Canson paper/acetate collage pattern I made, designed for upholstery. the design is meant to evoke light rippling across the water of rainy city puddles! 💙

Screenprinting is so fun!! It’s a lot of set up and break down, but after doing it a few times it’s really not bad at all. Fun thing I also learned today- the principles of prepping files for screen printing are the exact same principles used in riso!!
