NGL, the latest episode of Star Trek, somehow this first scene made me feel uncomfortable in a way I haven't for Star Trek in several years.

Something about it had me almost audibly saying "oh no."

Me I like em pulling delicately balanced poses, partial to long locks, flowing clothes and a touch of facial hair.

That said, I like how the Green Dragon Inn combines hobbit hole with free standing building. And I will gush over how cool Scandinavian sod roof buildings are.

So I will happily vibe with freestanding hobbit houses having roofs of grass.

I was listening to a summary of UN history from Halo today and I had to pause for a moment when the YouTuber described an interplanetary war between the UN, neo-communists and a German fascist counter-movement.

So I looked it up and that is disturbingly specific, Bungie!
The Frieden movement was a violent movement based on a fascist ideology that arose in the Europan city of Katreus[1] in the mid-22nd century. It formed partially in response to the rise of the communist Koslovics and perceived oppression by the United Nations. "Frieden" means "peace" in German — in this case, the Frieden believed that peace could only be achieved once the "oppressors on Terra Firma" were eliminated.[2]
