Right now, the Mariners look like a train wreck. Injuries are decimating the team, and it will take multiple replacements to bring the level of play to an acceptable level. I doubt the club will spend what's required to compete, so all we can do is hope for improved hitting.

To be honest, the NBA hasn't been really generous about returning to previously abandoned cities. We know it has happened, but it been a difficult road. I'll believe it when I see the Supes tipoff again.
