I knew I had read an Isaac Bashevis Singer story where an old man ruminates about life's meaning, but I couldn't remember the title. Then I remembered I had heard Ed Asner reading it. Dug thru my stuff and found this from 1987! Singer's "Pigeons". I pulled out an old cassette player and voila!
