Agreed.

The funny thing is, I do love Pulp and back in their heyday, I much preferred them to Suede. I just think the most recent release is a bit mediocre (bar the first single ‘Spike Island’ which is a cracker). Suede won me over when I had left my teens behind. Weird how we shift in our tastes 🤷‍♂️

It really is Pete. I probably still, just about, prefer ‘The Blue Hour’ but they are both extraordinary. Whereas the most recent Pulp album left me a little underwhelmed, this is blowing me away.

Fair play. Honesty is the best policy.

Agreed. I love the books of his that I have read (Train Dreams, Jesus’ Son, Nobody Move and Tree of Smoke). They are all so different! I mean, ‘Tree of Smoke’ is the Pynchon novel that Pynchon never wrote…

Train Dreams is on my agenda too. I need something to cleanse the palate after Frankenstein.
Loved the Denis Johnson novella.

And if I sound pretentious (and thus unfortunately, make the book sound pretentious), it is only because of the sad limits of my own language and imagination. ‘Francis Bacon’s Nanny’ is direct, beautiful and free from any such pretension. #BookSky💙📚

Add that to Hepburn and her Givenchy kick and you have fashion that is just too chic for school… 🤣❤️

One of my all-time favourite films. I have watched it at least 10 times and I still ❤️ it

Also, my wife and I both agreed that Cary Grant was still hot in Charade…
Even if he was a smidgen older than Audrey… 🤣😬❤️
