Excellent piece by Ezra Klein: if Dems really believe that Trump is creating an authoritarian government they should not continue to fund it. The shutdown is their only leverage right now to draw attention to what is happening and maybe force change.

If there is an Airbnb near you, I empathize. The one across from me sleeps twelve, and more than twelve cars park on both sides of the narrow street. I will never understand how a glorified hotel is allowed in residential areas. It will be a huge negative if/when I sell my home.
