Relative prices are up for housing in large metros, health care, and some food staples. That's very bad if you're in the bottom quartile and so is something we should care about, but the first one also gives brain worms to *everyone* in those metros, which includes a ton of Bluesky folks

i know it's only about 7000 people but my one quibble here is that i suspect olympus cove is going McAdams by truly comical margins

I have no stake in age gap discourse, if you think finding someone much younger than you hot is gross or normal or some secret third thing I think that's great for you, I am just saying that the moral problem here is the assault.

Right, but that was because of the 5 turnovers, not bc our offense did particularly well. We averaged 4.6 YPP, had 245 yards, and went 2/12 on 3rd down. That is extremely bad.

I don't mean to give you too hard of a time; there are a ton of advantages to always seeing the bright side of things : )

What set me off is that I said we were bad, and you responded "no we're not." The question of what it means in terms of trajectory to go from 126 to 106 is different; I don't see that exactly the same way you do either, but I get the argument

I'm 100% pleasantly surprised by this season!! But for me there's a big difference between "look on the bright side, this season is so much better than we expected" and "nah man, our offense isn't bad, we put up 22 against Michigan"

This is what I mean. I am genuinely glad you always see the upside for yourself.
But, e.g., we are the 106th scoring offense. Saying "that's better than last year" is a true statement, but it's not responsive if the question is "do we have an offense that is even okay?"

Minnesota is the more plausible path, I think. Only slightly better than us whether you're thinking stats or eye test. Whereas with Illinois we're really counting on the rivalry game effect

"We scored 22 points off of 5 turnovers" is not making the point you think man. I am not trying to say you can't always be happy with our team--you are, and I think that's amazing--but this is bordering on toxic positivity

I think you're right, but it's frustrating because to me it shows the difference between people who want to fight just to fight and people who want fight to win. It was the right call!
