It made me think of this snippet of polling from 2022 which argued that Gen Z’s wokeness had been exaggerated.

Also, if the median protester now looks more like the median voter, then perhaps that bodes well for the stickiness of anti-fascist resistance.

It’s disappointing, but unlike in Dec and March, Democrats today have a record of winning elections across the country by meaningful margins.

So let’s focus on what’s been working, and through show and tell keep demonstrating that Democrats are the better option for good and effective governance.

2/2: At an individual level, there is still such a thing as an honorable Republican.

Mike Pence and Liz Cheney, for example, deserve a co-monument on the National Mall.

But at the level of political and cultural movements, the American right is unitary, and irredeemably toxic.

4/4: So Golden is down by 5 points over the past year, while Democrats nationally have been improving their margins.

I’m not really sure what that says about Golden’s competitiveness today compared to last year.
