I remember one of my colleagues in the religion department (whose scholarship was significantly weirder and more generally humanities oriented) giving a talk that involved a historical description of Satan's junk, and I was the jerk who perked up and said "oh! He's an echidna!"

They didn't mention the data science majors in two other colleges, the digital ag minor, or any of our impacts on research, but I guess those don't really matter. Sigh. It's not like there's economic demand for people with data skills or anything.

Not worried for myself. A dumb move for #nebraska.

These are corporations that ought to pay for THEIR power.
Not foist it off in the average rate-payers.

They can afford it.
They are for-profit entities that should charge for their service(s) to pay for THEIR power bill.

Just another CORPORATE WELFARE SCHEME being perpetrated by Big Money.

Utilities tend to want up front payment for building out extra capacity in excess of residential needs. If the companies don't want to pay that... This happens. One wonders why shareholders don't stop construction or demand that an agreement with the utility be signed before construction begins.
