I'm so happy about how the red underglaze in the hearts turned out. It was fired at cone 10, protected by a few layers of clear glaze.

This is what I can throw on the wheel after about 75 *hours* of practice, over the span of a year. Improving a skill is hard, but it's rewarding. Slow progress is still progress. I'm really starting to enjoy pottery, now that I can center the clay 😂

My preferred medium is playdough.

I've been making pottery on the wheel to deal with my stress in these Trying Times. I'm not very good at it, but that's okay. This was probably my 50th try. It's somewhat symmetrical and I managed to trim a foot(base). Slow progress is still progress, right?

Does it drive you nuts when kids mix the playdough colors? Just call it "tie-dye" playdough and it's fine.

I've always thought a Prion disease would be what gets us in the end. But there's also a new mystery hemorrhagic disease. And that super strain of TB. The writers went all out for this final season.

Hydroponics update: they have escaped their pod. They're multiplying on my kitchen counter.
