2. How DO we write a book like this? After all, Pinker’s basic point, that all sorts of violence is down over long horizons, seems right.
But no one person has the depth of knowledge to write the whole thing. Only someone too arrogant to see their blindness will.

They haven’t even started selling Christmas trees in Sweden yet! December 13 would be seen as being on the early side here.
