card jitsu is cool cuz between when it came out and when it stopped getting new power cards the club penguin art style was changing and they usually impressively kept things pretty consistent with how the penguins looked
though you still sometimes get moments like this lol

Almost every weekday, Val and Squirm go out fishing by the coast of Cape Caramel. The spoils they catch are cooked and sold at a small vendor by the beach. It’s helped Val maintain an okay income.
Val and Squirm going fishing by the ocean. Whereas Val is taking the more traditional route of sitting on a pier with a fishing rod, Squirm is taking a more direct approach, being directly in the water and catching fish with his bare hands (tentacles?). He emerges from the water, struggling to hold a flailing purple fish, as Val looks on in astonishment.

decided I want to keep everything in home for rn. It’s a bit of a lesser of two evils situation but this is probably safer than just stowing them on saves of games I don’t like.
maybe one day 10 years from now there’ll be a decent pokemon game again and I’ll be able to come back to these guys.

It’s Club Penguin’s 20th anniversary today, so I made a commemorative drawing. This game means a ton to me and was a pivotal contributor to my love of art. Waddle on and such 🐧
