We also lost so many things that were great in the process, and the fallout caused by the initial GenAI explosion hasn't even ended yet.

Note that I am not a Machine Learning researcher, I merely have a sufficient conceptual and technical understanding to roughly understand their subfield. My area of AI expertise (primarily KR) wouldn't even be considered AI by the general public.

That's fine, but me being an academic has no bearing on my perceived suitability of the model. If part of the purpose was to debate not just where one stands but also whether the dimensions considered are appropriate, it has done its job.
