Steam's existed for so long now in a *mostly* un-enshittified state that you kind of need to be a big company who can afford to throw cash at exclusivity contracts to break into the business.
so Epic had the right strategy, but they fucked up the easy part & launched without a proper storefront!

i wasn't exactly rooting for them, but I was shocked how badly Epic managed to fumble their attempt.

it's genuinely tough to think of something, haha.
i guess... maybe the idea of spending *too* much time packed away? only getting inflated and set up for a handful of afternoons during the summer and being boxed up for the rest of the year, without getting to enjoy a few longer stretches as decor.

did you ever fix that portion of the upper catwalk on the main production floor that was missing its handrail? people could theoretically fall right off and into one of the open tanks of raw material being fed into the machinery. i've emailed Facilities about it several times; it seems dangerous!

i was doodling around with inflatable forms to do a form-lock challenge with back on Cohost (eggbug forever), and inflatable cactus slipped in there between all the pool-ring and raft doodles. something about it just really clicked for me, used it for the form-lock, and i've been one ever since!

pooltoys are wonderful things to be! i never really had an animate furry pooltoy 'sona and my preference for my own form is definitely trending away from being anthro or animal-shaped at all, but it's a lovely thing to think about playing out in TFy or RP-ish adventures.
