Trying to get our cat Yamaha to put on some weight. The last couple days I get excited when I get on the scale with him to see that our total weight has gone up, then disappointed when I weigh myself alone to find that nope, only MY weight has gone up.

A lot of the time I think about 9/11 wherein about 3,000 people died and we started a 20 years war over it and completely upended society. But when 3,000 people a week died of covid, when 2,000 people are disappeared by the government, it’s kinda nothing. I dunno. Just bounces around in my head.

Off to Detroit for #unicycle nationals! carefully packed everything into a bicycle hard case ... and then shoved it all into a bike bag instead to make the 50 lb airline weight limit. Was 10 lbs over and the case itself is almost 20.
