I don't disagree, but the reason its a classic is because of the interactive midnight showings, not because its a good movie unto itself. Hell, first time I went to see a midnight showing one of the hosts clarified for all the virgins that it is in fact a bad movie and compared it to Sharknado.

Like, as much fun as it is to come across an NPC and side mission that your friends missed because you made different choices, what makes that special is the novelty within a space that's mostly a shared experience. If everything were "randomly" generated based on your choices that's just... life.

Stay away from runes, too. A certain infamous pair of "lightning bolts" came from a non-historic system of runes, but the people who used them and their supporters have a long history of appropriating all kinds of runic systems into their broader aesthetic.
