because the party killed her corpse which was reanimated and had ice repairing any chunks of body missing. Her name was Heima, it slightly scarred some of the party.

Funnily enough, his personality is more in line with what Viva's was originally supposed to be, put the party as a whole was too depressing when Viva joined, so she ended up more whimsical.
Ephem does have a dead lover of sorts that he blames for her death, but that angst got resolved,

He was originally a janky homebrew subclass for fighter, but if I were to ever re-use him for play, I'd probably just make him a war domain Cleric, for the sake of simplicity, but also because that was the very original idea for him. He is very no-nonsense, as that is very opposite of Viva.

Eventually she sacrificed herself in an explosion of life energy to heal her friends who were trapped in a labyrinth of sorts, also curing a very bad disease many of them had. Now, due to her being a direct descendant of a god, but also there being no mother, she gets to chill in the pantheon.

Her lore later became waaaay more convoluted, but has recently been simplified to where she was selected to be an artifice of a homebrew deity of life named Lavi, which basically meant she overflowed with life energy, and was used to anchor the nearly dead deity into material existence.

Her lore, in a nutshell, is that she was once just a simple stuffed sheep within the lost and found of a church to Dionysus, but one day, when Dionysus got drunk at a pantheon party, he decided it'd be really funy to Bestow an object with life. Which to be fair, it was.
