That officer should absolutely know what is illegal or hints at illegal and when to consult the officer ON HIS OWN STAFF qualified to give advice.

Again, there was a JAG officer on that admiral’s staff (because there always is). Kegbreath fired JAGs who were at the Pentagon, not at the combatant commands or JTFs. Question is, did Adm Bradley ignore the JAG or not consult him at all?

We‘re already at 65%! The first vehicle, the truck, has been funded! Thank you! 🙏 Now we‘re gathering funds for a Medevac! Each Medevac saves around 70 lives, or even more! The @69thsb.bsky.social might have the lastest statistics…

A Navy admiral is the .01% who should be fully aware of his obligations and duties to uphold the law. He also would have had ready access to JAG officer on his staff.

That would have been a promotion of sorts to a more prestigious position.

Thanks. I've had better, but Christmas should be fun. I'm looking forward to it.

I think we’ve reached the endpoint on this discussion. We’ll have to agree to disagree on these fundamental points. Take care.

Pure cringe & lies from Miller. I think they’re going to be surprised when the Senate responds to these blatantly criminal acts. Vast majority of Americans realize that killing the survivors of the first strike was a crime, even if they support or don’t oppose striking the boats in the first place.

Fortunately the states will move ahead anyway. Nothing in the Constitution would permit it (but it doesn’t mean they won’t try!).

Mostly liberals (relative to the US electorate). It would be the biggest own-goal in history.

I was on a general staff for two deployments, so I had access to a lot more info than the vast majority of those who participated.

I don’t know how the bidding process for those contracts worked. While I can understand the sentiments about him, his admin was for the most part operating in conformance with the laws. Big difference from Trump admin that is a huge extortion racket. I’m not convinced that oil was a motivation.

That’s not a no-fly area.

Good article, but it doesn’t say you claim: that OIF took place in order to provide US oil companies opportunities to profit. It could be considered an ancillary effect. That the thread doesn’t support me is inconsequential. Most are repeating stories they heard while having no in-depth experience.

He was recently granted asylum. Perhaps someone in his family or someone he knew was having issues with immigration.

It definitely made them a household name. I recall Cheney divested assets and established blind trusts to distance himself. Saint-like, compared to what we see now.

Also, this thread is excellent: bsky.app/profile/nihi...
The companies that got contracts were international (BP and CNPC came out on top).

Where they benefited was oil going from $25-30 a barrel to $80-100 a barrel.

Haliburton, private contractors, and auxiliary industries are who made bank. The US itself didn’t make anything from it.
