Its okay! Its just important to be aware of orientalist tropes and whatnot when working with characters outside your culture

There’s something quite culturally ignorant about slapping random Kanji on a character’s clothing to prove their Asian-ness, and comes across as using EA languages as an aesthetic. No Japanese person would wear a jacket that just says “snow” on it any more than an American person would.
