Another g.granfather. was building houses in Adelaide in the 1850s. His workers he bought from England left him for the gold rush in Vic. He and family walked from Adelaide to Newstead with Aboriginal guides spearing food along the way. They helped his family cross the Murray River.

Yeah..I'm one of them too, cept my ancestors immigrated from England in the 1850s. My g.grandfather was a chasing gold in Bendigo district. If he found any, he never left any😰. I often wonder his views on the indigenous ppl. This was the time of massacres and dispersion of Aboriginal Australians 😰
