Ahhh. I see where you’re going with it. Probably down to different experiences then. I know/spend time with more than a few men who self harm in the feel something way. The “wants to hurt others to feel” dudes are all bullies/assholes, and I don’t see aos or tos jtk that way at all

depression and poor coping mechanisms littered throughout all 3 movies and virtually no one who actually knows how to handle an emotion onboard. otoh, tos jtk has a pretty high emotional iq (because of a stable childhood?) and that's the major difference between the 2 jims

i take a slightly different path with this. i think aos jtk would think of himself as some flavor of masochistic, but not in a "it gets me off" way, but a "it makes me feel something" way. jim is looow emotional iq (sub basement levels) and chock full of unhealthy expressions of his inner world with
