at least, like you pointed out, it does give an out to the fluffier part... even if it is kind of hidden. which i can appreciate as the parallel to kafka's quest also having that buried "nope not doing this" route, the sh letting tb choose a bit more pointedly even if the exit is also concealed.

yeahhhh it's definitely not going to get any haters to shift their views since it's the same but expanded upon. her claiming to be ordinary was kind of laughable, but i imagine either v endearing or v frustrating depending on the view, at the very least!

i hope that the fic keeps you happy then, and in love with it too, more than any guilt. writing from obligation can be harder/more painful, so... hoping you can find something as lovely in the words.

makes sense, and in that sense kinda wild that they also did the retcon extended cut to the chapter in the story also held as the previous fan favorite? shaoji works in baffling ways i guess. there are other parts as tangled/disconnected that didn't get touched, looking @ the quintet maliciously.

though also, if you feel exhausted by the game, maybe that does make writing fanfic harder? even if lycoris radiata veered off from the main story, it's still the same cast... and the blade drought doesn't help even if he lingers as a fave

i liked it, but it's interesting to hear from the other side? it felt a bit strangely like "canon fanfic", so i wonder how much they'll do with the format or if they'll stick to what they wrote going forwards... mostly i liked the "how the sh work" crumbs
