Just achieved 19:14.7 SMB1 Warpless with Big Fire route! This is the 2nd best Warpless run I've ever done, despite a lot of really dumb mistakes. Expect a real PB very soon :3

I fucking did it, 19:49.458 in Vs. Super Mario Bros. Warpless after such a hard grind YES DUDE. Multiple different strategies and a ton of practice FINALLY paid off. Sub 20, 2nd place, AND IT'S A 4X. Unreal, I'm so proud of myself for finally pulling through 🥹

Got hit twice this run yet still PB'd despite missing the sub 20. Managed to get 3rd place by 0.1 seconds so that's pretty cool.
What's not cool is the first quarter of the run having background twitch stream audio because I forgot to mute desktop audio in OBS 💀 (it's now off)

1. I'm speedrunning SMO again in the form of the CE Koopa Freerunning RTA. Got an 18:34 a bit ago and working on improving it a lot more
2. Had an absolute god run in this category earlier that died right near the end, probably one of my worst chokes ever 💀

Merry Christmas, idk why it took me this long but I only just learned that there's a fan-made "For You" feed that is essentially "Discovery" but actually works. Might actually use this site more now !!!!!!!

I don't think I've ever shared this around social media before, but if you ever wanted to know why I ended up falling in love with NES speedruns, it's almost entirely VVVVVV to blame. That game permanently changed how I viewed old video games growing up, and its OST still gives me chills to this day

I REALLY don't want to bail on going to Megaplex this Saturday, but there's so many things I'm worried about since I won't have people to accompany me for the day + I don't really know anyone that's going that knows me + I only have my car to go to if I need a break. Idk how I can handle all that :(
