Yesterday’s sunrise over the Cascade foothills. The bottom is lined with tree silhouettes. There’s one closer, larger tree silhouette on the lower left. Going from the horizon up, the sky is showing layers of golden apricot, pale blue, light salmon pink going to a darker pink and into purple and darker blue up along the top of the picture. So pretty!

A vertical twig from a bare lilac bush that is covered in nobby lichens and sprigs of moss, all in a 3-centimeter long space. Some of the lichen is the light sea green, bushy stuff, while there is also some bright yellow on the right side. The center has the light gray with black disc-shaped growths that look a bit like octopus suckers.

Two big, vivid, reddish-orange American fly agaric mushrooms grow side by side under a green-leafed bush among some brown leaf litter. The have those rough, puffed up white spots on the top and white gills underneath, and a shaggy white stem. The mushroom in the foreground has been significantly gnawed upon by something - probably a slug or snail. The mushrooms were nearly the size of dinner plates, and there were several others growing all around the area in various states of emergence and decay. Wild.

Little tufts of moss grow in the edge of a stone retaining wall, and their little tendrils of - sporophytes (I think?) have collected little crystal orbs of dew. The background is just blurred out greenery. This scene is maybe about 4 centimeters long. So tiny and cute!

An altered picture of dewdrops on cedar needles in the morning fog. However, I used some funky coloring to make the needles blue and used the “liquefy” tool to make the less focused needles into crazy swirl patterns while leaving the in-focus needles and few drops alone and sharp.
