That didn't take long at all!

It's great that the big Boutique Labels are doing the Lord's work with vintage marquee films, and God knows we're in bed with 'em on a few, but it's these independent efforts that are saving the stuff that's in real danger of disappearing forever. And UFA even has the folks IN the films on board!

The version shown on PBS was re-edited and I believe a full episode shorter than the original BBC version. I would love to finally see the full version.

And then you had stuff like Paul Thomas' BEAUTY AND THE BEAST from 1988 where John Leslie BECAME the Beast, in what had to be the best costume/make-up job of the decade (although the house they used did look pretty 20th Century 🤷).

Did you get it before the book extra sold out? That went amazingly quick.

If you just have the combined version of Chinn's books I highly recommend getting the two unabridged volumes separately, the single volume leaves A LOT out. It doesn't really clearly say its abridged, but it definitely is.

Here's the first few minutes (sfw) of the original OTP. It's so raw and honest, and, with the hindsight of what the genre became, I'd even say there's an element of innocence about it as well.
