It would be nice if we could return to the tradition where some of the best among us lead this country rather than the most cunning parasites. War heroes, statesmen, revolutionaries, and maybe someday, a former astronaut.

Weird thing to, uh, romanticize? Fetishize? I dunno the appropriate term for this, but I know that for those of us living with it, it's hardly a 'selling point'. I feel like I gotta be charming as Hell for folks to overlook that red flag.

I don't understand how this person equates the wealth of a single corporation with the overall well-being of a nation and its people. Even if this applies to all large corporations, them doing well hardly means the average citizen is.
